This is a Mac mini G4 1.5 GHz from 2005. It has been cleaned and upgraded significantly including:- An internal 128 GB SSD via an IDE to mSATA adapter- A 1 GB RAM module – A new clock battery- Pre-installed Mac OS 9.2.2 from Mac OS 9 Lives It comes with the following accessories:- Power Adapter- Logitech USB Speakers- White Apple Mouse- Mac OS 9 Re-Install CD Cosmetically, it has yellowing and significant scuffs. Please see the photos. Mac OS 9 flies on it with the SSD. It’s perfect for retro Mac computing or sound production. In my testing it worked fine including the optical drive but I am selling it as-is. You are purchasing a two-decade old vintage machine and these machines can fail. I do my best to make sure it is in working condition before selling it, but no warranty is provided. I pre-installed Mac OS 9.2.2 on it using one of the newer installers developed by the community that supports these machines. You can install Mac OS X 10.4 or Mac OS X 10.5 on it as well. In many ways this is the ultimate Mac OS 9 machine with the upgrades I have done to it. At the same time, the version of Mac OS 9 that runs on it needs USB audio to work well which is why I included the USB speakers. You can find out more about this Mac OS 9 version on the Mac OS 9 Lives website where you can read about the benefits and limitations of running Mac OS 9 on this hardware that never before supported it. This is an appropriate computer for collectors and retro Mac enthusiasts. Mac OS 9 has never run faster on real hardware! You should also know that the 1.5 GHz “silent upgrade” machines can have some display incompatibilities. On modern displays they may only work under Mac OS 9 in lower resolutions when using a DVI to HDMI adapter. The mouse may occasionally freeze on startup but once booted correctly will have no further issues. Moving the mouse a bit while booting can prevent this. Shipping is via USPS Priority Mail.
